Homemade Yummy Mango Jam Recipe

Mango Jam is a simple and easy recipe which can be eaten with paratha and bread on breakfast. This mango jam is so delicious. A simple procedure to make a mango jam, just make sure you select the good variety of mangoes for this recipe.

This is my second attempt of making mango jam, really good experience. Finally, a mango jam is ready which I really liked it with right texture, a bright color, fresh taste and not overly sweet. Mangoes are in season, so I am sharing the recipe of mango jam.

Ingredients :

Mango Pulp : 3 cups
Sugar - 2 cups (adjust sugar according to your taste also)
Water - 200 ml

Lemon Juice : 2 tbsp
Pectin : 2-3 tbsp
Mango essence - 4 drops (optional)
Yellow color - A pinch


Tip : Pectin is used as a setting agent in jams and jellies, it is easily available in super markets or in store also.

Preparation Method :

1. For preparing mango jam, first boil water with sugar.


2. When sugar is dissolved, add mango pulp. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes in low flame, stirring it continuously. Now add Pectin and Lemon juice in it.

3. When the mixture is thick, remove from the flame. Add mango essence and yellow color. Keep it aside to cool on a room temperature. Pour it into a bottle or in a tight jar.

4. Mango Jam is ready. Spread it on bread, paratha or best going with poori etc.
